My Scraps & More # 36

cropped all day with a friend and came up with this sketch challenge # 36 from My Scraps & More. The lighting in the office is terrible so hopefully you can tell I had fun with the sketch:

the photo underneath the main photo is cut into 6 pieces like the mosaic moments. Had a blast! Thanks for stopping by!

My Scraps & More # 39

wow! I am having so much fun today! I went to a crop at the local scrapbook store and came home with lots of ideas and of course new paper!! I love the sketches over at My Scraps & More and this next layout is # 39 from that site! Just in case it doesn't show up clearly enough (I should have taken a pic of just this part of the layout) the arrow pointing to my son and husband says "ring fingers" 'cos it looks like the two of them are giving the camera the "finger"! I nearly lost it and laughed so hard I cried! My guys are just too goofy! So here's the page:

The papers I used for all the layers is Trendsetter by Fancy Pants Designs and then there are the 2 red buttons. Gotta have the buttons! love buttons! The rest is the ephemera from the show we saw at the Fox. I loved creating this layout! Hope you enjoyed it too! Thanks for stopping by! Scrap happy my friends!

My Scraps & More # 37

I really enjoyed using this sketch from MS&M. It was perfect for a single photo of my son smiling over his birthday pie!

The pp layers are all from Crate Paper, the metal clips are from Studio Calico, the kite and banner are chipboard pieces from Crate Paper and the 3 little banner looking thingys are from Bella Blvd. This was fun! Thanks for stopping by and all your lovely comments are appreciated! Blessings to all in scrappy land!

a 15th birthday!

I can't quite believe it. My son, my baby turned 15 two weeks ago!! We didn't do much...we had dinner at one of his favorite restaurants (working on layout soon), and had a birthday pie! None of us really like cakes and frosting and such. So here's one layout I did just for fun:
it's hard to see the title so I want to try and get it to pop! a bit. I love all the green and the flourish I cut on my Cameo. Thanks for stopping by! Blessings my scrappy friends!

boys in blue

this is a layout I did for Father's day. The photos are of my son, my husband, and my 24 year old son being serious and goofy!! The boys didn't plan it but they all wore blue that day so I focused on two colors of blue and then used white for an accent color. I added the stitching (which you know I love to do!) and did it by hand rather than use the machine so it would pop! a little more. Here it is:

so all in all I really like how it came out! I did this layout last weekend at a 15 hour crop held at the Holiday Inn at Six Flags! wow! I had a blast! oh I forgot to mention the title is made of Basic Grey white chip stickers (like Thickers) where I used my Copic pen to color the "blue" in blue! well, thanks for stopping by and feel free to leave a comment as they are always welcome and enjoyed immensely! Happy scrapping!

Here's what Celisa has to share about her company:

My name is Celisa Schumpert and I am a wife, a mom and I have a love for all things creative.  My husband and I were blessed to spend over 20 years in youth ministry before helping begin a start up church about 3 years ago that has grown to about 1700 weekly attendance, it has been awesome watching God at work in our new adventure.  I am also a mom to three children 20, 16 and 8.  Around 7 years ago we were blessed to bring home our 8 year old from China and it doing so developed a heart for orphans and a desire to help them find forever families.  As a result, I wanted to start a business that could give to that purpose.  I am blessed to combine my two passions into my relatively new business, Pure Painted Signs.  I have always loved painting and with this endeavor I am able to give 10% to my church and 40% to orphan causes around the world, as well as supporting families who are seeking to adopt.

The prize is a wooden sign such as:

New challenge at Scrapping Everyday Miracles

July Main Challenge #30-Favorite Things

"These Are A Few of My Favorite Things"

Cara here bringing you the Main Challenge this month. I love learning new things about people, and so I wanted to do a fun challenge about getting to know someone by finding out what their most favorite things are.

So here's my Challenge: Create a layout about someone's "favorites"...it can be a page about yourself, your child, your best friend, your spouse, your parent....well, you get the idea...it can be about anyone you choose. I think hearing what people enjoy about life can be one of the greatest ways to get to know the heart of that person. It can also be a great way to connect with someone...when we take the time to do things they enjoy, we can bless them.

The Scrap Twist that you need to include on your project is to use some kind of "office supply item"---some ideas would be paper clips, binder clips, or staples.

Have fun with this challenge as you show the personality of the person you scrap about through the things they love most! I'm excited to see what you come up with.
